CUET 2025: Eligibility for Undergraduate Program

Along with the admission notification NTA has released the eligibility criteria for CUET 2025. So, let us look at the eligibility requirements of CUET 2025.

Candidates should score a minimum of 50% marks in their +2 examination in the General category and 45% for SC/ST candidates.
Candidates should have taken up subjects in +2 depending upon the course they opt for.
The candidate should be of Indian nationality.
Candidates should apply to as many Participating Universities with as many options of the programmes as possible selected under CUET.
Applicants can apply for CUET while attempting the qualifying examination of the university. However they would have to produce the passing certificate at the time of counselling.

CUET 2025: Age Limit

There is no age limit to appear for CUET 2025. However the candidates must fulfil the educational qualifications to be eligible for the CUET 2025 exam.

Note:

From the above Subjects/Languages, the candidate can choose a maximum of 06 (six) subjects from all three sections.
40 out of 50 questions for all test papers and 50 out of 60 for the General Test (An overall choice of 10 questions will be provided for all 63 subjects).
It is advisable for candidates to select at least one Language and the General Test.

Structure of CUET 2025 Exam

Total subjects: 63 (33 languages, 29 domain-specific, and 01 General Test)
Medium of the Test: 13 languages (Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu)
Total Questions: 40 out of 50 questions for all test papers and 50 out of 60 for the General Test (choice of 10 questions). Duration for all test papers would be 45 minutes except for Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, Accountancy, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Computer Science/Informatics Practices, and General Tests which would be 60 minutes.

Paper-I Language	For the first section of the CUET exam, the majority of students of CBSE schools will opt for English language. In this section, the questions will be asked from topics such as Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar etc.	Out of the 50 questions, students can attempt any 40 questions
Paper- II Domain (Subjects in Class 12)	In this section, there are 29 subjects from the +2 covering only the NCERT syllabus. The students can choose a minimum of two and a maximum of six subjects as per their choice. Paper- III General Test	This paper consists of questions from Basic Mathematics, Basic Reasoning and Mental Ability, and Basic General Knowledge.
