CA Foundation Qualification

Registration

The registration process is open year-round, but candidates should stay updated on important deadlines. It is recommended to register at least four months before the exam month. The CA Foundation exams will be held three times a year, in May/June, September, and January. The exams for January 2025 are scheduled to be held from January 12 to January 18, 2025. To qualify for the CA Foundation exam, candidates must register with the Board of Studies and fulfill the required study period.
Some documents that are required for registration include:

Paper 1 & 2

Paper 1 & 2 are subjective type (100%) and Paper 3 & 4 are objective type (100%). There is negative marking of 0.25 mark for every wrong answer in objective type papers. To clear the CA Foundation, a student must get a minimum of 40 marks in each subject and an average of 50% across all papers. Also, the MCQs carry negative marks. If the student does not clear either of the marks-based criteria, the student may take the exam again 6 months later and attempt to clear the level.

Study Period for CA Intermediate: 8 Months (Inter I – 3 papers and Inter II – 3papers ) Total = 600 marks
Exams and Results Period for CA Intermediate: 1 Months
Articleship Training: 2 Years (as per the new scheme)
CA Final Preparation: 6 months ( I group – 3 papers and II group – 3 papers ) Total = 600 marks
Final CA Result: 1 Months
